I drive over a hour to eat here and to me it’s well worth the trip. Love the staff, and the food. Excellent buffet and dinner dishes also. Food quality is always top notch. Just wish I lived closer to it!
Idli, masala dosa and thali! So veg friendly!
Had a buffet at a holiday gathering. Tasty and spicy. Wait staff very pleasant. Perhaps a better rating if there as a single meal rather than a large party.
Absolutely delicious! I ordered a few main dishes and they included a few little sides along with my meal. Very good will order again when in town.
Nice variety of recipes, Mango lasse was good too.
I liked the finger fish the most
Ambiance is nice and the food is good.
Great buffet. Has all your favorites but also a few rotating dishes. Very good chai and mango lassi as well.
Here’s the thing: The food is excellent. Nicely spiced but not overpowering. The buffet is the way to go. But why do the waiters put their hands on the part of the utensils you eat from? To me that’s just basic restaurant hygiene. They could also clean up the outside grounds and make a better effort to clean. The doors always have fingerprints all over them. Have they heard of windex? I guess it’s what happens when your food is so good and you have a reliable customer base. You get complacent.
Friendly waiters, great food, and good music! I enjoy getting dinner hear.
Lots of variety , good food , friendly and good prices
They had mild stuff for me to eat. Not to spicy .
Best Indian food in Rochester! We just went with a group of 18 for a birthday celebration. We did call ahead so they could be prepared for us but I'm sure they could have accommodated us if we had just walked in.
This was my first time Eating Indian food and what I can say is I was very excited and happy with my experience the food has so much flavor it was not overly spicy for the mild spicy flavors and the meat was cooked perfectly soft and fresh I love the appetizer that I had and I got my food in a timely manner I love this restauran coming back for sure !! Sorry I wish I had better pics but I was too busy eating it was so beautifully put together by the way:)
Worst food. they don't know how to make masala papad. They just put some cut onion and red chilly powder on papad which they called masala papas. They brought appetizer and main course food same time suppose to bring appetizer first. Moreover vegetable was not fried properly. Taste was not good at all. Then they were expecting us to come back so that they can serve good food next time.
We ordered all south Indian food. Rawa dosa butter dosa Idli..all are very tasty and fresh.. Very disciplined Service. Ambience is very good.
I love this place for the variety of authentic Indian cuisine. It's always fresh and delicious. If your looking for a good Indian restaurant that is family friendly and won't break the bank, this is the place for you.
Great food, but could use some updating (restaurant is very awkwardly dark). And also needs to fix fire doors, as that can be a referral to town fire marshal as unsafe.
Order a carry out for the first time . Worst food ever. The food is not what you expect. They have their own version and it sucks. Chicken 65 looks like poop. I wasted my money on it. Wouldn’t recommend. They suck big time.
Amazing food, fantastic service, cozy atmosphere. Highly suggest Sunday buffet!
Yummy Indian buffet! Enough variety for every taste, Dont miss the desserts.
This is IMO best North Indian Food restaurant. If you are from North or North East part of India then your test bud will absolutely fit here. Plus their hosting is amazing. We reached late night at 9:30pm when the store about to close, but they accommodate us to seat and also delivered fresh food....all food tastes so amazing. Our host "Preet" took care of us as if I feel like I am in India eating my friend's house not in any restaurant. So I request all and especially people from other part of the world - Try this "North" Indian style food and you will love it.
Our family’s favorite weekend treat; lunch buffet with the kids! They are wonderful with small children. Lunch Buffet has all the favorites (chicken tiki masla, saag paneer [or equivalent], plenty of fresh naan, fish pakora [staple for kids], milk chai tea and mango lassi, hot gulab), plus other rotating dishes. Probably the restaurant I go to most often.
The owner was very rude to my friend and asked him to not eat with his hands while most Indian cuisine cannot be eaten by a spoon or fork. And went on to accuse my friend of tarnishing the "Indian" image by eating with his hands. I felt it was unnecessary and other customers at the restaurant had absolutely no problem with "seeing" us eat.
Rude manager. One of my Friends wanted a kids meal, but he kept saying “no” since she wasn’t “10 years old”. My friend told the manager why she wanted the meal, but he kept being childish about it. The service is also terrible. We got our meals almost an hour after we ordered the meal. The food is great though. Order online. Don’t eat there. It’s a trap.
Not the best food. It was alright.
Lunch was super. Loved the spice and flavers and color. Always warm greetings as well Thanks . Put this on your list to Experience.
One of my favorite restaurants in Rochester! The chicken vindaloo is amazing, as is the chai.
One of the "better" Indian restaurants in Rochester. They have enough space inside. Food is decent nothing special but nothing to complain about
It has a wonderful variety and everything was very tasty. I would say the quality was higher than most Indian buffets. Thank you Raj Mahal for one excellent lunch!
Delicious food and great service! We always go on Sunday for the buffet and it's absolutely fantastic. A number of vegetarian options and plenty of meat as well, great variety and great prices! Highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for Indian food
Fantastic food! Wonderful waiters! The food is delicious and the staff is extremely personable, attentive and kind.
Not the best buffet I had .Things weren't that hot or fresh. The taste of food was also very average for me.The best dish for me was tandoori chicken. When I went there were only 2 more people other than us may be it was late that's why.For me I might not go there again and try the other options that city has to offer.
Great food! So many choices, which is a good thing. Very authentic. Good prices for the value of food. Defiantly have spicy food. Great for dine in or lunch buffet
Excellent food and service, great value overall
Today's lunch buffet was very good. Good mix of south Indian and North Indian dishes!
Food is great and service is very good.
The food was awsome! I liked everthing on my plate..
Chicken makhani is my new comfort food! By far the best indian cuisine around!
Amazing food. Clean and quaint atmosphere. Wait staff are super friendly and accommodating. Authentic vibes
Great food, great service! I love Indian food- and Raj Mahal has my heart!!
Excellent luncheon buffet! One of the better Indian food buffets in the Rochester area. Great variety of food! Highly recommended. A must to visit!
This is a buffet place. Not a lot of non-vegetarian options but the ones they do have are pretty good. I liked it. Fish pakoda <3
Good food , spice levels as per Indian standards when requested .
Recently on a trip back from New York I lost my phone. They found it and held it for me and even called me on the number I called my lost phone from in order to return it to me.I went today to pickup my phone. The owner is very nice and friendly and so are the waitstaff. Now about the food. The have a lunch buffet that is affordable and the food is top notch...much better than I even expected. Plenty of options including some vegetarian options. All you can eat for around $12Definitely recommend this place.
Consistently amazing every single time
Seating & Decor is one of the best in Rochester but food not so much.
The worst restaurant I have ever been to in United States. I ordered items over the phone at 6pm and they gave us the food at 7.45pm. Gobi Manchuria is in white color with brown sauce (it tasted nothing). Chicken biryani looked like lemon rice with chicken pieces. I advise the owner to name their dishes with something else. I see that most of the Americans are visiting and obviously they don't know how the items would taste like in real, I feel very sorry for them.
Love this place for Indian! We come here often on a Saturday for the buffet... Food is good, and options vary from time to time (again, we are only here on Saturdays so may be during the weekdays the options are different.) Dessert is good and consistent. Great place if you like to try different authentic food
This place is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in the area. They have an excellent lunch deal with a buffet option. The owner and other staff are very friendly and welcoming. I also find the food enjoyable, particularly their vegetable fritters.
